Due to the current Corona Virus situation it is imperative that we all take precautions to prevent the virus from spreading. We are taking extra precautions on our end and request car’s interior to be clean when they arrive for inspections to protect everyone involved.

UBER  & LYFT INSPECTIONS  


Discounted rate of $55 with prepaid appointment.
 

 Uber no longer provides free inspections at any Inspection station within the state of Maryland. 

  • You will need to log in and show us your Uber Partner App or Lyft Driver App.   HTTPS://partners.uber.com/p3/drivers/profile 
  • If you have wheel locks, we will need your wheel lock key.
  • You must arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to check in and get the paperwork processed.
    If you are late, we may not be able to fit you in for the inspection No refund will be offered if you're late.

If you miss your appointment or fail to cancel through the link on your conformation email 24 hours prior to your appointment time, you will NOT be refunded.

FAQ


  1. Do I need to make an appointment or do you take walk ins?
    We do take walk-ins on a first come, first serve basis. There may be a wait depending on what other work is scheduled for the day. 


    **The discounted price of $55 only applies if you book an appointment. 

  2. Can I make an appointment over the phone?
    Due to the number of drivers, we do not make inspection appointments over the phone (with the exception of re-inspections). The online booking prevents double booking and allows drivers to schedule, reschedule, or cancel 24/7.


  3. How can I cancel my appointment?
    You can cancel or reschedule directly out of the confirmation email we send you up to 24 prior to your appt time. You can also email us, [email protected], or text us at 443-402-5001 up to 24 hours prior to your appointment time.
     


  4. How long does the inspection take?
    The inspection take about an hour.


  5. What happens if my car fails inspection?
    If the car fails you will have thirty days or one thousand miles to address all of the failed items and have the car reinspected. 


  6. Do I schedule a re-inspection online?
    Reinspects can be scheduled within 30 days and 1,000 miles of your inintial inspection. please contact us via text 443-402-5001, email [email protected], or call410-676-5020. 


  7. I went over the thirty days or one thousand miles, what happens now?
    You will have to schedule  and pay a for another inspection appointment online. 


  8. Do I have to have the work done at J C Tire?
    We can do any necessary repairs here, you can do them at your regular mechanic, or you can do them yourself. 


  9. What is the rule on tint?
    As long as the total tint measures 35% or higher light emitting it is fine. Anything darker or if there is tint on the windshield will fail. 


  10. What do I need to bring with me?
    All we need is the car and your phone with the Uber Partner or Lyft Driver app. We will ask you to show us the Partner app to verify that it is an Uber car. 


  11. Can someone else bring my car in for me?
    Sure! But they will still need to show up your Uber Partner or Lyft Driver app (or log into the partner website on their phone).


  12. What happens if I am running late?
    Call and let us know! We will try to accommodate you the best we can, though it may not always be possible. Please plan to arrive 10 min prior to your appointment time to get checked in and process the paperwork. 

      
  13. My car is brand new, why does it need to be inspected?
    New cars come with a certificate of origin, but not a state inspection. If they are being used for Uber, the state requires an actual state safety inspection. 


  14. Can you call me when there is an openings for inspection?
    Due to the number of drivers waiting for an inspection, it isn't feasible to call each one of them every time there is a cancellation. 
     


  15. Why is the calendar moving from the date I want to choose? 
    The calendar will automatically move you to the next available appointment time so that you don't have to click every day between now and then to check.


  16. What do they check during the inspection?
    There is additional information on both our MVA's site with a list of state requirements.  
     
     


     
  17. Are there any Saturday inspection appointments?
    We do offer some Saturday appointments, they are all listed on the calendar.
