UBER INSPECTIONS

YOU WILL NEED TO LOG IN AND SHOW US YOUR UBER PARTNER APP OR LOG IN ON THEIR WEBSITE.

Please arrive 10 prior to your appointment to check in and get the paperwork processed.
If you are late, we may not be able to fit you in for the inspection.

WALK-INS

We now take walk-ins for Uber inspections on a first come, first serve basis.

We recommend an appointment as there have been many days that are completely booked in advance.

We recommend coming early if you choose to do a walk in. These will be fit in around all the other scheduled appointments for the day and generally any available spots fill up early in the day.

APPOINTMENTS

If you want to book an appointment for a specific time to avoid the wait, we require a credit card to hold the time.
There is no cost to you as long as you show up for your appointment time (or cancel through the link on your email more than 24 hours in advance), and log in to show us your Uber Driver app or account on the website.
By booking an appointment, you are agreeing our booking cancellation policy.
You will get confirmation email when booking showing the date and time you selected.
If you do not show up for your appointment and fail to cancel through the link on your conformation email 24 hours prior to your appointment time, or are unable to show us your Uber Partner app or account you will not be refunded the deposit.

Do NOT book a full inspection slot for a RE-Inspection. You will NOT be refunded if you book a full inspection slot for a RE-Inspection.

WEATHER CAN OCCASIONALLY BE A FACTOR. WE ARE UNABLE TO DO THE TEST DRIVE TO COMPLETE INSPECTIONS WHEN THERE IS HEAVY RAIN. IN THE EVENT THAT WEATHER IMPACTS YOUR APPOINTMENT, YOU WILL STILL BE REFUNDED.

FAQ

  1. Do I need to make an appointment or do you take walk ins?
    We do take walk-ins on a first come, first serve basis. There may be a wait depending on what other work is scheduled for the day. You do not need to book online or have a credit card to come in for a walk-in.

    We do take appointments, due to the number of no call-no show inspections we require a credit card at booking. If you show up on time for your inspection or if you cancel with at least 24 hours notice, you will NOT be charged anything. However, if you do not show up on time and you do not give us 24 hours notice, you will be charged a $60 cancellation fee.
  2. Can I make an appointment over the phone?
    Due to the number of drivers, we do not make inspection appointments over the phone (with the exception of re-inspections). The online booking prevents double booking and allows drivers to schedule, reschedule, or cancel 24/7.
  3. How can I cancel my appointment?
    You can cancel or reschedule directly out of the confirmation email we send you up to 24 prior to your appt time. You can also email us, sales@jctire.com, or text us at 443-402-5001.
  4. How long does the inspection take?
    The inspection take about an hour.
  5. What happens if my car fails inspection?
    If the car fails you will have thirty days or one thousand miles to address all of the failed items and have the car reinspected.
  6. Do I schedule a re-inspection online?
    Reinspects can be scheduled within 30 days and 1,000 miles of your inintial inspection. please contact us via text 443-402-5001, email sales@jctire.com, or message us on Facebook to schedule.
  7. I went over the thirty days or one thousand miles, what happens now?
    You will have to reschedule a whole inspection appointment online. Please be aware that if you fail twice and have to come in a third time, you will likely be responsible for the inspection bill.
  8. Do I have to have the work done at J C Tire?
    We can do any necessary repairs here, you can do them at your regular mechanic, or you can do them yourself.
  9. What is the rule on tint?
    As long as the total tint measures 35% or higher light emitting it is fine. Anything darker or if there is tint on the windshield will fail.
  10. How long does a drop off inspection take?
    Drop off time is at 8am, pick up will be some time before 6:30. We try to get the done earlier in the day but sometimes that isn't possible. Someone will call you when it is done.
  11. What do I need to bring with me?
    All we need is the car and your phone with the Uber Partner app. We will ask you to show us the Partner app to verify that it is an Uber car.
  12. Can someone else bring my car in for me?
    Sure! But they will still need to show up your Uber partner app (or log into the partner website on their phone).
  13. What happens if I am running late?
    Call and let us know! We will try to accommodate you the best we can, though it may not always be possible. Please plan to arrive 10 min prior to your appointment time to get checked in and process the paperwork.
  14. My car is brand new, why does it need to be inspected?
    New cars come with a certificate of origin, but not a state inspection. If they are being used for Uber, the state requires an actual state safety inspection.
  15. Is it really free?
    If you are an Uber driver and show us your Uber partner app with that vehicle listed, there is no cost to you for the inspection.

    However, if you book a designated time slot and do not show up on time or cancel with at least 24 hours notice, you will be charged a $60 cancellation fee.

    You will be charged $60 if you do not show us the Uber Partner App or Uber Partner account on the website when you come in.
  16. Can you call me when there is an openings for inspection?
    Due to the number of drivers waiting for an inspection, it isn't feasible to call each one of them every time there is a cancellation.
  17. Why is the calendar moving from the date I want to choose?
    The calendar will automatically move you to the next available appointment time so that you don't have to click every day between now and then to check.
  18. What do they check during the inspection?
    There is additional information on both our site and on MVA's site with a list of state requirements.
  19. Are there any Saturday inspection appointments?
    We do offer some Saturday appointments, they are all listed on the calendar.
